a/c unit hesitates

When we are running the a/c unit, even on AU fan setting, the unit appears to almost shut off, then resume. Is this normal? What causes it?

Yes, we are running it now, in Florida.

Sounds like you have low voltage or low amperage were you are plugged in? I would see how many amps are being pulled when the AC turns on.

We are in an RV resort with 30 amps. We checked the draw last year on the a/c and it was 12.2 amps.

Might check the wire connections at the ac unit. They probably used wire nuts to make the connections. I would work back from the AC unit to the power pole check all connections. Has it done it in all the places you are plugged in?

Could be normal. See page 8 and page 11. Thats how my AC unit acts. When the fan switches between high and low there is a slight pause
