Unhappy AC Issues

We have a 2014 Crossroads Cruiser Patriot 5th Wheel. Recently the AC quit working. The thermostat automatically wen to Zone 2 and showed Er and I could not get it off zone 2 back to zone 1(we have only 1 zone programmed. (thermostat is RVComfort.zc) I took it to local dealer who diagnosed it as the thermostat and it would cost $250 plus labor. I knew I could get it for $150 and is easy to replace so I took it home and ordered a new thermostat.
It came in today and I put it in. took about 10 minutes making sure the wires were connected correctly. Got the same thing...zone2.
Called the dealer and he is baffled. Any ideas?

I know a lot of people that have two AC’s don’t like the 2 zone thermostat. Maybe it would be better to have two separate single zone thermostats. One for each AC.

Possible solutions:'

Remove thermostat from wall and pull out fuse for 10 minutes

5 button control reset
Turn the ON/OFF switch to OFF position.
Simultaneously depress and hold the MODE and ZONE
push-buttons while turning the ON/OFF switch to ON.
FF should appear in the LCD display until the MODE
and ZONE push-buttons are released.
