Access to slide rollers for lube?
My kitchen and dining slide are jerky when they are in motion and I know this is due to the rollers needing a good shot of lube. I have some ZEP 45 but I can not figure out how to access the rollers. On both of the slides there is a wiper gasket on the underside and I have pulled this down enough to look behind it, but still cant see the rollers. I have also looked from the inside (under the carpet) with the slides all the way out... still no rollers. Do I need to remove the wiper gaskets on the outside? Anyone have any ideas?
The unit is equivalent to a SF33RL

I can see mine from the outside with the slide fully out, just peel back the wiper seal on the bottom

I've owned 3 different units with slides and never found a need to lube the rollers. There isn't that much friction associated with them, well unless they are broken. The seals have more friction and depending on when they flip, they can cause some jerking. And if the slide is shifted to one side there will be a lot more friction on one side vs. the other and really cause problems.

I was told by Norco the Accuslide rollers need annual lubrication w/ Zep 45 lubricant. My dealer said to use a paint scraper to open the wiper seal underneath the slide and the rollers will be visible 1-2" in. Have not yet done it but will be doing so shortly.
Access is from the outside and you will see 2 or 4 rollers depending upon your slide construction.

Thanks for the replies, but I am beginning to think the big slides must have a different system to slide on.. Because it does not have rollers or they are so deep they can't be accessed. The slides are working ok, but they have to be rolling on something. I went all the way to removing the wiper seal and still nothing. The bedroom slide has 5 rollers that are easily accessed.

Crossroads has gone back to the older style Lippert underfloor mechanism, just like my 2011. In this case, there are no rollers. The front edge of the slide out floor is beveled and there is a raised plastic lip on the main floor, so the electric motor pulls on the slide out and it rides up and over the main floor. Pure friction between the bottom of the slide out floor and the plastic lip.
The BAL Accuslide system uses cables and the Schwintek system uses aluminum tracks on the sides of the slide out walls.

Larry, are you saying they have gone back to the rack and pinion?

All of the slides have the BAL cable system and from what I can see on the large slides Larry is correct that it is just sliding on a hard piece of plastic.

If you can take a picture of the bottom of your open slide, maybe that would help.

Our two large slides are rack and pinion and our bed slide is Schwintek.
