Accessories you wish you have negotiated for

When you were about to sign on the dotted line, were there any items you forgot to negotiate into the deal? Looking for suggestions. We are looking at a 270BH.

So far we've thought of:
Slide topper
Upgraded hitch to Reese SL WDH
Black Maxx Air covers
Replace front vent with powered fan unit

We already own a rolling honey pot and all the hoses and cords we'll need.

Definitely a power tongue jack if it doesn't have one. With a WD hitch, there are a lot of ups and downs! Another little thing I like is my zipper-pack full of 12x12 leveling blocks, the ones that look like Legos. Spare tire cover?

Yeah, has that. Have a bunch of those blocks, 3 bags worth. I remembered 2 large X chocks and a screen door handle.

Hmmm. Good questions. I have the 270BH and other than some minor things we really like it. The Jensen stereo/speakers is complete junk. Mine is actually malfunctioning so I will need to have that looked at, but we plan on upgrading the system and speakers very soon.

Our AC front vents weren't blowing any air out of, but we missed that on the walk through because they had the air blowing I've cold and the other vents worked fine and are able to cool the camper down. The problem is no air to the front bedroom means we need to leave at least one of the doors open to keep cool air flowing. Also have them hit your awning with water while it's open, we have a small leak right above the entrance, probably would have been an easy fix before we left. Maybe try and get another vent fan in the front bedroom like what's in the bathroom and double check your shower curtain track, that is another weak spot in this camper. Open and close it several times to make sure it stays on the track. Try and get them to throw in a vent pillow for the bedroom and make sure you have enough drinking water hose, power cord extension and sewer hose extensions, you'll need them at one time or another.

While your at it, see if you can upgrade the grey tank capacity... 26 gallons fills up QUICK! Lol, good luck!

Three trips in and almost 950 miles on the TT, not much I regret not having. The short list:

- Max Air Covers
- TPMS

Here you go.....TST 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)-Geno's Garage

I did not know they existed either until I recently had a tire problem. Ordered mine last week!

Accumulator for the Fresh Water system. Have the tech run the water pump, these can be very noisy due to "noise shorts" and just generally poor installation. If it is noisy, make the dealer fix the noise shorts with insulation. I used half-inch pipe insulation, and built a sound deadening platform for the pump. Although it reduced the racket - it still bugs me. Check the pump output. Mine is 3 gals/min - not enough to get a decent shower, should have been at least 3.5, but 5 would have been better.......X2 on the Surge Protector, LED lights are good - keeps the electrical load down, and the heat load on A/C........

When I got mine three things I asked for and got was Ladder to get on top, Best mattress, and BBQ grill outside. I did buy a electric Jack and it was one of the best upgrades. Right now I am having the slide out covers installed.

Thanks everyone. We added a good list of things to the camper and negotiated a decent deal. We picked one from the dealers 'untouched' stock and all the extras were ordered today.
Hope to pick it up this weekend.

We added:
Slide topper in black
2 Maxx Air covers
Maxx air remote fan for front fresh air vent
Reese Trunnion WDH with anti-sway
9X12 rug
Rugs for the steps
2 large X chocks

You'll be buying a 12x20 rug before you know it. But hey, 9x12 is a good start! All sounds good, as long as you are happy... Enjoy!

for the front remote max air vent. Did you install or dealer?. Trying to find out if pre-wired for power

Dealer did it. Included in price. As I understand it from the installer they stole power from the light located near it. When you take down the original vent you can reach the power you need.
So we rarely use that light, just leave it off so we can have power to fan.
