I bought a new ADCO RV cover for my new 2011 Crossroads 23CK to keep it looking new because I have no covered parking. They recommend not walking on the roof, what would be the easiest way to put on a cover of this size? How do you get it rolled over the roof? Two people on each side of the RV on a ladder rolling it from back to front or front to back? Once on the top it will be easy to secure but how do I get it on top of the RV first without being able to walk on the roof? Any suggestions or advice? Anyone else have their's covered?

Thanks!!

I think it will be hard to get info because Crossroads does not like covers and may drop the warrenty on your finish outside. Covers if they move will wear the finish off.

I called Crossroads and there are no warranty issues. This is a high quality non scatching cover. Better than leaving it exposed to the elements and fading. Will also help in the longevity of my roof and roof vents from damaging sun etc which will ruin the finish on the rv. I would rather protect my investment than leave it exposed to the harsh elements.

Be careful of condensation under the cover, It is very important that you vent the cover to allow it to breathe. Condensate can ( and will ) develop mold etc. It will also cause a musty odor. I agree that it is important to protect the exterier, but you must keep the condensate under control or you will be sorry.

If you look up the ADCO covers they are made of a breathable fabric and require no venting. Nice but expensive...

I used an ADCO cover on our CF27RL for 2 years. Try as I might, I never got it installed where it wouldn't blow and move during the winter. Every corner or projecting item wore a hole in the cover and the finish on the cap and sides suffered.

I dumped the cover for a "car port" type cover. Like it much better.

As for installing, I have no idea how you would intall it without being on the roof. Two guys on scaffolding may be able to walk it over but it would be a job.

Best of luck.

This Adco cover is made of breathable material and no venting is needed, its a high quality cover. I just have to figure out how to get it rolled over the roof on a roof I cannot really walk on... going to take a couple of people and a lot of effort...
