FINALLY got our Zinger to the campground. Chilly, so we used furnace. Does it seem weird that the A/C fan runs when you turn on the furnace? We've never owned a travel trailer before, but this seems weird. I turned off A/C breaker.

A/C fan kicked on before furnace did - we have a fan option on the t-stat, so I assumed this was normal - however weird. Any one else have this?

My a/c fan will run continually if I leave the fan set to "on" regardless of the heat / cool switch.
When I run the heat I have the fan set to "auto", when on "cool" I leave the fan set to "on".

If it is a Duo Therm controller like mine, just leave it on auto. That will cycle the A/C fan on when the A/C is running. The furnace has it's own separate fan. The only time You would use the fan "on" setting is if you wanted to use the A/C fan for circulation. We never use the A/C fan "on" position as the A/C fan is noisy. We just use the fantastic fans for circulation when needed.

Apparently no one read your question. Sounds like you have a wire crossed in the thermostat...no the A/C fan runs INDEPENDENTLY of the heat UNLESS you switch to "Fan On".

Exactly what part of fan "on" didn't you understand Steve?

Leave the "fan" switch on "Auto".

I bet it the fan is set to "ON". I played with it in the driveway...I will have to check this weekend.
Thanks for all the input!
