Nope, but I am currently looking into replacing my sleeper sofa with a better one. Camping world sells a new one by Mobile Outfitters (owned by Lippert) that I am seriously considering. It's called the Destination Tri-fold. Unfortunately it is a newer product and I have yet to see/touch one. They are currently on sale until May 5th so hopefully before then I can see one. They come in 64, 68 and 72" widths. Hope this helps.

I can attest the tri-fold is the most residential RV couch I've sat on. The bed is the couch, so no worries about deflating air mattress issues.

Mike, did you happen to unfold and examine the construction? I can't seem to find one anywhere near us. Where did you see the one you are talking about?

(Apologize in advance for hijacking the thread! )

No problem Stan -

The 2013's have them as the optional HAB sofa in the Zinger and the Sunset Trail models. The construction is very robust, there is no air mattress, and the opening is very smooth. The bed surface is semi-firm like a good mattress. Here is a link to the unit:

Ok, thanks Mike. I have seen the literature and they seem impressive. I just hope I can see one before the sale ends. I may have to just take a chance. I called the manufacturer and they said they are building a large order for Camping World (sole wholesaler) but it is questionable if the units will arrive in the showroom before the sale ends.

Can you get to a local Crossroads dealer and look at one in person?

It's 40 miles but I called them and they were not sure if they had any units with one installed. I will give it a few weeks and call/visit again.

Went to Camping World web site last nite to check on sofa sale. Price, on sale, is $1,064.00. Pretty steep for a sofa bed.

It's a shame if they are only being retailed through CW... I find their parts to be 10-15% more then anyone else.

Dalemac -- 1,000 is not a bad price for a good sofa bed.

Larry -- I would not buy a airbed sofa. We bought an airo mattress that we put on top of a regular sleeper sofa mattress when the grandkids camp with us. If it is ripped it would cost about $40.00 to replace it, and the kids say it is very comfortable.

Lippert has several lines of living room quality sofabeds - all heavy-200-300# and $1000+
Another way to go - I picked it up from a forum - is IKEA. They have a sofabed -LYCKSELE- that is light weight, fairly comfortable, Has 3 mattress thicknesses. Sets up in 30 seconds! NO bar. It has bowed wooden slats that act as springs. We bought one and used it in Florida for 3 weeks. It is not the most attractive thing - covers are basic solid colors but it works.
We did have a problem with the frame breaking at a weld. Had to support it with wood until we could take it back. They replaced it with no questions [as long as you have receipt]. Can see it online or in stores. Also comes in a chair size. I think there is a longer version too.
If it holds up this time, I give it a 9.
