I have 17,000 miles on our 2007 CF30SK. We just got back from Florida and when checking the tires, I noticed that 3 of them look great, but the 4th (left rear) is worn down to the belts in at least two places (2nd row of tread from the outside, and 2nd row from the inside). Anyone seen anything like that before?

Main question: Can you recommend a good place to get an alignment anywhere near Palacios, TX (half way between Galveston and Corpus on the Coast)?

Thanks for any info.
Cliff

It kind of sounds like belt seperation not alignment.

No, sorry I can't help, but I sure am jealous at the 17K miles...we don't even have 7K on our 07 30SK yet.

I agree that it sounds like a tire problem. Alignment problems will generally show as wear on the outside or the inside, but not on both sides of the tread

Outside and inside of tread also mean under-inflation.

Thanks for the replys.
It's really weird, the outside edges are fine, but the second row of tread in, on both sides, are worn through, and showing steel wires (belts). I've never seen anything like that. Maybe it is a bad tire (they haven't been under inflated, I have the pressure pro monitor, and have always kept the tires within a couple of pounds of correct). I am going to take the tire in to my tire dealer to see what he says.
Thanks again for the input.
Cliff

My unit is in for warranty service now. The left rear tire is also wearing. Mine is just on the inside of the tire. They told me they are replacing the axle.

If it was belt seperation you shold have felt it while driving. It would fell like a wash board road.
