I've never seen slide toppers on any Silverback or your model. And that is what I would want on such a unit. In fact there is a Silverback unit that I really like, except for the cathedral slide outs in the living room and bedroom makes it a deal breaker.
As for an awning, there doesn't seem to be a practical way to mount one above the slide out. However, it might be possible to add a smaller awning directly to the slide out if the windows are low enough. It would require finding all the studs to carefully attach the drip rail. And the awning arms would need to attach to the side trim of the slide out. There are small awning that are made for truck campers and very small trailers that would probably work, they may only extend out 6ft, but that is more than a normal awning will extend when attached to the trailer body.
