My Patriot has developed an annoying problem. When I open the door, the screen door wants to stay put and invariably this requires an extra tug to get the door open, then I have to seat the screen door in its keeper. The RV is level. I have inspected the screen door keeper latch, the door latch, the hinges and the door frame. I cannot identify any problem except a slight scuff mark where you can see that the screen door plastic jam is creating on the the door frame, apparently when it hangs up in the frame. Maybe only needs some DW 40 ?
I have the same problem except now the plastic body of the screen door latch is cracked. It appears that the latch is mounted too close to the door frame and it catches on the latch keeper. I have adjusted mine as much as is possible and it still catches. I think the real solution is to drill new holes, just haven't had any time to get a replacement latch or deal with fixing it.

Two other things you might check. Is the rig twisted a bit. My screen used to hang up if the landing gear wasn't hitting the ground equally. Also, is the screen dragging on the door frame? I removed the screen and drilled new holes and raised it about 3/16". This fixed all my problems.
I believe it is all in how the screen door latch is adjusted. The outside door should keep the screen door un-latched when shut. It should only engage the latch plate on the door frame when the outside door is not holding the screen door.

Good point, I feel like there might be a little bit of torque or twist on the rig, but not much. I don't know how forgiving the rig may be, but one leg ofthe landing gear hits about 3/8 to 1/2 inch before the other. I figured that was tolerable, maybe I need a do-over there. The screen door clears the threshold fine and doesn't hang up there, it only seems to be at the latch. The other thing I am noticing is that when the door is warm on good sunlit days, the problem goes away.
