Antenna wiring

Where can I get a diagram of the coaxial cables that run thru the rv? Guess my booster has gone out so I'm putting an external one on it. Pulled the old booster out got the outside and bedroom wire figured out but i got 2 left over.

Are you talking about 2 additional coax?

Probably coming from the satellite and cable jacks. I expect your unit has 3 coax cables (mine has 2, one from att, one from cable jack).

I don't think there is such a thing as a diagram for any of the wiring that CR places in these trailers.

I just replaced my Winegard amplifier plate. It came with a diagram on how it is to be hooked up.

Also my coax from the cable was marked as such on the jacket. The "2nd set" coax had a splitter which serves the bedroom and the outside TV.

I received a schematic from Crossroads for my Sunset Trail 270 BH and it is posted on the documents page. The orange cable should be a dedicated rg6 line for satellite. The cable has a splitter to outside and bedroom if applicable.

Wife mentioned a satellite. Are you saying if I get a satellite I can watch tv on the main inside tv and also on the outside tv with the satellite?

I don't think so. Schematic shows only one satellite output and that's to the main television.

I have heard of folks taking a splitter off the satellite feed and wiring up a second television. Some actually route them internally (inside the roof and walls) but most just extend the cable under the slide to reach the television connection.

My Dish Tailgater works with my inside TV connected to the satellite input at the back of the trailer. It will not work on the outside TV if connected to that same input through the cable outlet at the outdoor TV mount. When I want to watch the outside TV with the Dish, I just set up the receiver outside and direct cable to the outside TV.
You have to be sure to use only high quality RG6 cable with good connectors, and use the dedicated satellite input as drawn on the schematic. The outside TV cable comes from a splitter to the inside TV and antenna booster. My understanding is that the splitter compromises the satellite signal and that's why it will not work on both the outside and inside tv outlet at the same time.

If you have enough coax running from the outside Tv to the booster you could disconnect it and connect it to the cable box and then run hdmi fromm cable box to inside tv. The only problem is both tvs would be on the same channel. This is what I did on mine tying the bedroom one into the outside tv.
