While we were out yesterday a storm came up and someone was kind enough to put our awning up. The problem is that the black pull down cord cannot be seen any longer. Any ideas on how we can get the awning down?? Thanks so much.

Had that happen one time on our old Cruiser. I had to get on a ladder and release the awning like you normally would to roll it out and hand roll the awning tube out untilI could get to the pull strap.

Unlock, and one person on each arm. Pull out as near the top as possible.

yup I had it happen one time when I got in a hurry to close it for a storm. A nice couple next door lent us their ladder and helped us unroll it by hand until we could get to the strap. DH hasn't let me back near our awning since.
