Battery help

I was removing the batteries to store them and discovered that one of the nuts is cross threaded. Now, it's halfway up the node and stuck. It is spinning but not moving up or down. Any ideas about how to get if off? See picture. Thanks!

Try prying with a flat screw driver to put pressure on the nut while turning it with the wrench. May have to use a tap and die set to fix the threads.

Or take a hack saw and create a slot on top of the terminal and use a screw driver to hold into place

If none of the above works, try a nut splitter.

WHOA !
are you saying the NUT is spinning or the TERMINAL ?

the nut spinning is not too difficult a fix,
but the terminal spinning is not as easy!

good luck...
