Best Foam for Booth Seats

Has anybody ever replaced the foam in the seats of a booth dinette? If so what is the best foam to use. Ours is 8 years old and I think it is time to replace.

I did a bunk bed once and found that two layers were best for us...
as firm as you can get with a softer top...

Now days you can get anything you need, including gels but it's deciding what you like best !

Go to an automotive upholstery shop, they will have samples of diff density and thickness of foam. They can also cut the foam to your sizes. They will cover them as well. I built a storage sofa and needed cushions. Seat cushions were 4 inch and higher density, seat backs are 2 inch and lighter but I don't remember actual densities.
