We have a 2011 Cruiser CF305SK and it has the square tube bumper. I'd like to hear how others have installed a bicycle rack on the back of their rigs. We'd like to carry two bicycles.

Thanks for any help!

You would have to install a frame mounted receiver but welding a hitch to the frame will void the frame warranty.

If you want to see how much a bike rack bounces on even a smooth road

I had a hitch welded to my frame also. This way I dont have to worry about the bikes and bumper disappearing somewhere on the road.

My solution went to the other end of the rig. I had a 2" Curt receiver installed on the front of my 3500 Dodge. This also keeps my drive tires out of the water when launching a boat. See my signature picture.

We are currently contemplating the pros and cons of a ladder rack. In the meantime we have the bikes strapped to the back of the TV using one of those trunk mount racks. If I wasn't so worried about tongue weight (cutting it close on TV capacity) we would get one that mounts to the front of the trailer. Sorry these last 2 options probably won't help you too much but maybe it will someone else.

I would love to do the front hitch but so far have been coming up with nothing that fits the 2004 armada. The curt hitches say they are incompatable, reese says they don't carry any for my truck, a lot that say they fit the titan say they won't fit my truck so I am left to find other solutions.

What about a roof rack for your Armada? http://www.yakima.com/

Thanks for everyone's thoughts and suggestions. We're now thinking of maybe getting some folding bikes as an easier option all around. Anyone have any suggestions on folding bikes?

I purchased a 2" receiver tube, made brackets and bolted to my extended pin box. Purchased a good receiver type bike rack which the bikes set on. Two bikes do not create any problems and it is nice tokeep an eye on them as traveling. I have hauled over 12,000 miles this way.
