Black Tank Flush

Bought a 33BH rezerve this spring and put at a permanent site. went to winterize today thought i would try the black tank flush option. hooked up the hose left the drains open after 3 min of running it water was coming out the skirt on opposite side of camper. after some investigation i found water sprayed all over under bathroom sink cabinet. just curious if i forgot something or if something is not right?

The backflow prevent valve is probably stuck open. It is under the bathroom sink in my unit. I had this happen a few times so I removed it. I was able to use the existing fittings to connect the lines together after removing the valve. This happened with two valves.

I saw what you are speaking of up under the sink, its hooked to 2 white water lines that go back under the shower, what confuses me is why would any of the plumbing be hooked to a line that is meant to flush the black tank from the outside.

The outside flush connection goes to one side of the valve and the out of the valve goes directly to the black tank. If you remove the valve use the same fittings to connect to two lines together, problem solved. This can be temporary repair or permanent. The valve is probably normally closed on the tank side to prevent any black water for going to the outside and opens when the outside water pressure is applied. I've had the valve removed for several years with no problems. If you leave it installed be sure someone is inside to check when the backflush is turned on.

mine was not tightened right from the get go. really tightened it and worked ok. that was probably your problem . try tightening and have someone turn on the flush outside while you watch inside to see if the snugging worked.
