Black tank flush reverse spill

My black tank flush works just fine but when I disconnect the outside hose, water (clear) comes out of the black tank flush connection for a few seconds. Is this normal?

That is the water draining from the hose. The check valve is at the tank so the water from the tank to the end of the hose drains out. Normal.

The flush system in my Cruiser does not do that.

It depends on the location of the check valve and at what elevation in relation to the check valve you are.



My Cruiser (when the flush works/worked) let out about a 1/2 cup of water.

From what I have just read it sounds like this is a line that we should be sure and flush with some rv antifreeze when we winterize. Glad I saw this posting.

When I flush my tank, I then turn off the water at the hose bib. When I disconnect the hoseI don't get any water out the connection other than a few drops.

If it comes out with pressure your vacum breaker could be bad. You should have acess to it. If it does not have pressure I would think it is normal.

You don't need to winterize this line.

Would water not accumulate between the input hose connection and the check valve in the line to the black tank? Probbably only a foot or so of hose to the valve but seems it would leave water standing in the line.

You all can do what you want but for 25 cents worth anti-freeze I am pumping some into the flush line. A broken line will fill your floor pan and you not know until the floor pan covering ruptures. My 2 cents worth.

I have the same problem on my09 30SK with water coming back out of the flush connecter when I disconnect the hose. I have disconnected the hose at the hose bib first to release hose presssure but water does come out at the panel connection. Could be as mush as a 1/2 cup or so. I place a towel under it now and I am going to have my dealer check it out. I also had the flush tank filter/sprayer on the tank end get plugged. It is a perforated 4" like plastic piece that gets plugged from the inside out with tank crud because it is located below the water line in the tank. My dealer removed the pieceand it does allow water to enter the black tank now. No spray, just fill and flush. I may need to have a new type of spray end installed.
