I

Our owner’s
manual calls for our tank gates to remain closed until ready to dump. BUT when
it drops below freezing the gray gate remains open and the water in the sink
runs at a slow trickle. Those gray gates stayed open all summer and still work
fine. (Most evenings it fell in to the 40º or below)</span>
Our
black tank level sensors quit giving accurate feedback but there is doubt when
the black tank gets near full as the sound upon flushing is very different.</span>

Our
neighbor let others use his RV for several weeks. The black tank gate was left
open while at the site. Upon his next trip it took much work to break up the
solids and get them through the gate. You don't want that kind of problem.</span>
