we noticed our awning is getting several bubbles of varying size on it. they look like a bubble on the underside and are more noticeable underneath than on top. What is this? they appeared after washing/scrubbing it. there are almost a dozen of them. what should I do about it? we are out of warranty.Edited by: anaro

Can you take a picture of that "bubble" ? That seems odd.

I don't know how many layers there is in an awning, and without seeing it, I would have to guess it must be coming unglued/ply separation.

Ours got bubbles in the top layer last year and the top layer of fabric started peeling off. We had to have the awning material replace which on our unit was about $700 if I remember correctly.

it looks literally like someone injected air or water into a portion of it.... if anyone is medical think of the pinwheel injection for lidocaine. the bubbles are stationary and kinda firm.if It is separating is there anything I can do about it other than replace when it gets bad enough?

Mine too. Happen right after washing it. First noticed them when they were about the size of a quarter and got much larger. Went in the house disgusted, when I came back out 2 hrs. later, they were gone.
Haven't seen a sign of them or were they were.

But I haven't washed it again either.
