has anyone added a dirt devil built in vacum cleaner, and where is the best place, some one mentioned putting it in the dinette seat but I have table and chairs. Is it a -do it yourself project. Camping world charges 112.00 to install. Thanks for any input.

One I saw was at the bottom of the steps to the bedroom. This allowed it to have the option of a thing that you could just swept into with the vac on.The motor was mounted on the other side of the step in the basement.

On our trailer the inlet for the hose is mounted under the middle step going to the bedroom area. The unit itself is mounted in the pass thru storage area. So far we love how it works. If you are farily handy with tools the install should not be that bad. You just need to find electrical to wire it into, then mount the unit and run the PVC pipe to where ever you want the inlet. Where does the exhaust of the vacuum get vented or is it?

Ours vents into the storage area. So far no problems.

DW would rather use a Hoover stick vac than to fight with the Anaconda vacuum hose. Just her .02 worth.

If you get the Dirt Devil you can get the opt. dirt kick-plate. Basically, you use a broom and sweep the dirt to the kickplate, tap the plate to turn it on and it sucks the dirt away at floor level.

Works really nice. I was in a camper that had one installed. They stated it was easy to install with a Roto-Zip and only added $30 to the vacuum.Edited by: mwebber78
