I have heard that before when I pull the emergency "pin" from the small box in the front of the rig to test the emergency brake voltage. I suspect either your emergency box is bad or you have a short somewhere that is allowing voltage into the brake wiring. Try unplugging the umbilical cord to the tow vehicle to isolate the cause - it may be a bad brake controller in the vehicle as well. I don't think it is a buzzing as much as a humming noise.

Somehow/somewhere you're get to,g vtage to the magnets that activate your brakes, either bad connection, bad controller, or bad magnet.

Make sure the pin on the end of your emerg braking cable (that you hook to the truck bumper) is properly plugged in.

If you are talking about a buzzing sound only when the TV brakes are applied and you have a Prodigy controller the sound is probably normal.

When the Prodigy applies low level braking this is done by a pulse width output at a frequency that is in the audible range.

I have noticed this from many trailers going through campgrounds when the driver is riding the TV brakes which with a Prodigy applies about 25 percent braking effort if the TV brakes have been applied for more than 5 seconds.

This is what Prodigy calls the HOLD value and is used to hold the trailer when stopped and the TV brakes are applied.
