Not sure if this has been discussed before but I am wondering is it ok to use a camper cover?

I had one for our popup that was vented and it worked great. I just want to try an protect the campers finish when it is being stored. I don't have a big enough garage to keep it in so it sits out in the sun at the storage place. I know they say the roof needs to breath but there has to be covers that allow that?

Most RV manufactures do not recommend them as they usually do more damage than good.

I had a cover for a older camper I had. It didn't take long for the wind to cause my antenna to cut the cover. I also hated using a cover due to getting the cover on the roof and trying to spread it out. You need a minimum of one person to help spread out the cover. You are also walking on top of it and unsure if you step on something else under the cover while you are on the roof. I was always afraid I was going to fall off the roof. I gave my cover away and had a carport built with closed sides.

We specifically asked this question when doing our walk through and was told NO, don't do it. Not sure about your specific model but ours has a rubberized roof that I'm told would be damaged if it can't breath.

I believe the general rule is do not use. I also believe that there are circumstances that reqiure consideration. It can depend where you have to store. Not everyone has covered storage. Tree debris can do harm to the roof along with ice and snow. So you have to weigh the variables and maybe you cover.
