Camper Love

I have owned a camper now for about 8 years. This is our 2nd camper and seems like every time we go out we have some small issue. I am looking for some help in the tail light department. The running lights work on both sides. But the brake light and blinker do not work on the driver side. Can someone please help.

also I swapped the lights from driver side to passenger side and both the brake and lights and blinkers work on passenger side but still nothing on driver side. so I know its not the bulbs.

Good place to start is the blade connector and work your way back. You can use a good circuit tester or one of these assuming you have the standard 7-way
. It helped identify a short that was actually on my tow vehicle.

Sounds like a fuse in the power distribution box in the truck

The factory uses those BLUE SNAP connectors on almost everything in these trailers. Might have a loose connection or no connection in the wall behind the tail light...

Try plugging your truck into another trailer and thieir truck into your trailer to narrow down which unit to look at.

Ditto on eliminating variables and that amazon plug check looks like a nice thing to add to the toolkit !

But, my problem on my utility trailer was the new puppy that moved into the backyard liked to chew on things

the wiring running under the trailer,
the outside ac unit's wires,
the wife's yard art,

Its in my truck. I think when they spliced into my factory 7 pin connector. they messed something up. I will let you guys know. I plugged a different truck into trailer and everything works. I know its not the fuse.

See if you can clean the plug connector on the truck, I know they sell contact cleaner.

Even though the fuses are "good" doesnt mean the post and terminal are good. I had the same issue. My fuses were good and the metal conections were still there.
It turned out that the fuse post's had varnised and slightly corroded. I took an emry board and filled off thegunk. That fixed my issues.
