change light bulb

I have a 2012 Crossroads Slingshot. One of the lights went out and I cannot find anything on how to change it. The lens turn but will not come down. I donot want to force it because I might damage the ceiling or light cover.

Are they LED lights? If they are, you might have a problem. We asked at the factory how to change the light bulbs in those fixtures should they ever burn out, which they haven't. We were told we could not. They are LED and should last the life of the trailer. If they are not LED, I hope you find your answer.

We have a mixture of LED and regular lights in our trailer. The regular ones have those little slidey covers that come off. The LED do not.

It's possible that the light went out for some reason other than the bulb burned out, especially if it's LED. It could be a wire or something.

LEDs do go bad. I had a flash light made up of 7 LEDs. One LED died. I do not know if they are LED or another type of light source. The manuals says nothing about them.

I have the same fixtures in my unit. Those lens covers pop off. The first one I did seemed like I would pull fixture out of ceiling, but it finally came off. After that, all went well. Mine did not come with LEDs, but I have replaced them. My unit came with Bi-Pin bulbs type T-4. The pins are a little longer than the Incandescent bulbs, but I just trimmed the pins with a pair of wire cutters. Worked fine.

I would like to convert my incadescent (halogen?) bulbs to LED with replacement bulbs (2012 Crossroads Sunset Trail 29RE). Is this possible? What size bulb will that take? G4? I couldn't find anything in a T4 online yet. Thanks!

In my trailer (2012 Crossroads 29HB Slingshot) the bulbs are 12 volt, 10 watt halogen. I would think you would need a 10 watt or so 12 volt LED. I have not found lights like that yet. Check an automotive store for 12 Volt LED lights.

I found this at 1000bulbs.com.
0.7 Watt - G4 Base LED - 3000 Kelvin

Halogen Color - Replaces 5 Watt Halogen - 12 Volt - PLT S15G4WW

and

Additional Media

3 Watt - G4 Base LED - 3000 Kelvin

Halogen Color - Replaces 20 Watt Halogen - 12 Volt DC Only - PLT
