Hello,
I stays in my Patriot 4 days and nights a week year round. I have insulated the city water hose with foam but I am thinking I should have added some kind of heating wire underneath the foam to prevent freezing. What is the best way to keep this hose from freezing? What I have read on package inserts of some heating wire devices says not to use on anything other than copper, PVC, or CPVC, so I am reluctant to apply that device to the water hose. Also, is it safe to assume that if the inside of the trailer is maintained at 68 degrees or so,that the tubing and water lines in the walls and underbelly are not going to freeze? I don't want to keep the water dripping all winter if I can avoid it.
Any advice from full timers?
Thanks,
Max
