We are in the process of cleaning up our camper Hampton park trailer HT39FE and noticed some pitch on the top of the awning and a little what appears to be moldy spots on the underside. Any suggestions for cleaning this efficiently? Thank you!

Solvit will definitely take the mold off, I don't know about the sap.
And the best part of it is, it won't hurt anything else. If you can't find it in the store, here is the ph# 1-800-276-8102 --- you can order direct from them, but you will probably have to buy a case.

The easiest way I have found is a Mr. Clean magic eraser mop---cleans the moldy spots and lower the awning just a little and don't have to get on a ladder. I don't know about the pine tar pitch.

Give "GOO GONE" a shot. I try to scrape off as much as possible with my fingernail then soak with a small rag over the spot. Rub, repeat.

Tilex Mildew Remover works great! I dilute it, 1 large bottle then add water ot make one gallon in a pump sprayer. On the top of the awning, spray it on, let it soak 5 minutes, lightly brush it off, then rinse. On the underside, spray it one, let it soak 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse. Scrubbing is rarely necessary. Works every time and awning looks like new!

Our paperwork had an awning pamplet included. The cleaning instructions were to mix a solution of bleachandwater, soak bothsides of the awning and roll it up. After 10 or 15 minutesopen it up and rince it out.

I use Magic Boss citrus awning cleaner.

Spray on both side, roll up, wait, then rince. Repeat if necessary.

Works good for me.

When there is a stuborn stain I use a rag or a brush.

Hope this helps,
