Convenience Center

At first the gauges seemed OK then the black water one was absolutely not accurate. Registered full when it had just been emptied.

Tried the usual filling and then driving around the yard to swish it around.

Camping World tech said to load it with ice cubes to knock off the hard stuff. That didn't work either.

Just watched a video on YouTube talking about hot water.

But, the MAIN problem right now is that every one of the gauges register incorrectly. My husband just emptied fresh water then filled it. While it was full it registered empty.

Grey water and black water show 2/3 when both have just been emptied.

Is there a problem with this control center called Convenience Center?
Hate to take it back to the dealership that said nothing was wrong then gave the ice advice.

Thank you,

The gauges are junk on most of the rigs!
You will have learn to not rely on them totally.
When the water faucet sputters---you're out of water. When the toilet or any one of the sinks burps back at you---it's time to dump.

Your signature says that you own a 2016, I would take it back and have it addressed. Although not incredibly accurate, they do help with planning in certain situations. It's like a gas gauge on an older motorcycle, not really accurate as far as how much you currently have but it does give you an idea of usage.

Thank you.

We will probably have to take it to the dealership - about a 100 mile round trip.

But, we have a festival coming up and don't want to have it sitting at Camping World without a definite date to get it back.

We have already had them look at it and they say it's accurate. Can't remember, but I believe they loaded the fresh water and emptied it to test.

It seemed OK when we first got it except for the black water tank.

Thanks again

Thank you,
About the black tank gauge, there's probably toilet paper stuck to the top sensor stopping it from working correctly that's normal. About the freshwater tank gauge there could be a wire disconnected. Easy to see. Just unscrew the black Koroplast liner and look inside with a flashlight. It has to be something easy to fix . Going 100 miles each way for that seems waste of time. They will keep it fora month ...probably.

Try the Geo Method for cleaning your tank. Put the stuff in and and travel to your next camping outing. Then drain and flush. https://sites.google.com/site/cbruni/

We do that sometimes when there is no dump station where we are. All of that shaking around we thought would knock everything loose so that it would be OK when we got home and dumped right away. Nope.

But, when we have the opportunity, we do dump rather than hauling it hundreds of miles.

We used to have one of those reverse flush things on our motor home. I think we should look into it for the toyhauler.

Thanks

I googled the Koroplast liner and couldn't see anything that might apply here.

Yes, they'd probably keep it a long time especially right now in Arizona when the Snowbirds are coming back.

The liner that I'm talking about is that black plastic that looks like cardboard that screwed to the frame of your trailer underneath. Just unscrew the edges maybe make a couple of cuts pull part of it down then look at your tank.
