Suddenly no hot water! In fact no water from the hot side at all. Water goes int o the 10 gal tank (Attwood 10e). All valves are in the correct position and the water in the tank is hot. When we turn on a hot water tap we hear a click coming from the tank. Question; is there a no retun valve in the hot outlet that is stuck in the closed position? If so how do you change/repair it. Any ideas????

I believe there is a check valve at the tank. Someone else will chime in to confirm this. Not sure if it is on the hot outlet or cold inlet though.

Check valve is in the hot water outlet of the tank. Probably stuck.

Can you unstick this by opening the pressure valve on the out side ????

I tried that, no joy!
The hot side came on later unexpectedly and remained on for a couple of hours then off again. The brass fitting on the hot side is very tight I hesitate to use too much force. ?????

The brass fitting on the mixing valve needs to be loosened and when you partially remove it the teeth match up with the adjustment. They say it is not adjustable but that's how they adjusted mine. The screw on the brass fitting has not slot for a screwdriver but you can get it out.

By the brass fitting on the mixing valve ,do you mean the connection for the hot water line at the top of the tank?
Thank you

Problem solved DW is happy!!! Solution, the brass hot outlet on the tank contains a simple plastic one way valve (Check Valve as mentioned) above, to prevent return flow into the tank. The control spring is held on the valve stem by a pressed on plastic retainer. the retainer had popped off, the spring and retainer are somewhere in the hot water tank (forever). The valve itself had jammed and plugged the outlet. $25.00 at the RV parts counter fixed the problem. As usual you have to buy the whole fitting.
Thank you for your help!!
