Crossroads doesnt reccommend you cover your trailer with anything. It may affect the warranty so you may want to contact CR before you use a cover.

Mostthat I have seen, that have used covers also say dont do it. They say they rub and wear on the trailer finishes.

Im sure they will chime in.

I live in the snow belt country and I covered my Everest and Mountaineer. We get 150 to 200 inches of snow in the winter. The coverdoes wear the roof and anything else that the cover can chafe. I will not cover my Crossroads for the first year and see how it goes. I'll clear the roof as needed to prevent snow build up.

Unless your keeping your unit indoors with no air currents, I would NOT cover. I have never seen a cover that has fit well and hasn't flapped in the wind. With any flapping you have friction resulting in wear. Not to mention the lack of air flow in the unit creating a possible moisture issue.

Thank you all. I have been covering my old jayco with just regular tarps you buy at menards, putting sausers of oil of peppermint in it and storing it in a unheated building. My main purpose on my new one is to keep the bird droppings , and dust off. This would just be easier to put on and make it more presentable than the old tarps. The moisture problem you mentioned might be a concern. I never had a problem with the jayco and tarps but this one is a little better insulated.

IMHO if the cover isn't flapping in the wind, I would probably go for it. Can you just tarp the roof to prevent bird dropping from sitting on the roof?

Yes That is what i will do. It is so much easier in the spring to uncover a shinny clean camper.

I have seen those blue tarps suspended2or 3 inchesabove the the roof of a camper and boats inside storage buildings just for that reason and it works great.

The flapping is a concern and almost inevitable...if you decide to do it make sure the dark vent covers, A/C cover and front cap are not in contact with the cover. They will show scuffing and rubbing much more than old school white trailers do.
