My Crossroads 21FD TT has a black plastic shield on the front bottom half surface to protect the front from road debris and I suspect to add to the esthetic appearance. However, I recently discovered the top edge had dis-bonded from the skin surface thus allowing rain water and AC condensation to leak in under the plastic and collect at the bottom along the lower trim line. I discovered it after the TT was unattended for a couple of weeks. This issue could have been easily prevented by the manufacturer by running a bead of caulk across the top edge of the plastic skirt. The repair was made by pulling a portion of the shield off, conducting a thorough cleaning and using 3M spray adhesive to rebond it to the trailer skin then applying clear caulk across the top edge to prevent a re-occurrence in the future. If you own a 21FD you might want to consider this simple fix by applying a bead of caulk across the top edge before it causes a major mess.

I've had the same problem with our Slingshot. The water had worked it's way so far down, that the adhesive wasn't holding the vinyl anymore. During our last trip, the wind tore parts of it off. I removed all the vinyl and now we're going to install diamond plate instead. Hope it looks good!

This happen to our Slingshot as well and it was replaced under warranty with a diamond plate which looks better. I was lucky I did not have any water get it
