Dave Boggs, former Crossroads Director of Marketing, is now in a similar new position apparently created for him, at KZ RV. The press release is on "The RV Daily Report" dated today.

Dave was a great friend of the Crossroads Texas Rally and I am sure will be missed by all. Hopefully CR will find someone at least as equally capable as Dave to keep to company moving forward.

I will add that it was always a pleasure working with Dave on all the rally details. If Dave told me he would do something it was always taken care of. We will miss him at this years rally.

Another thing about Dave I don't think many people knew, he was the administrator for the CR web site, the CR forum and the Redwood forum.

I don't know Dave Boggs. Never met him or talked with him. But making a move within the industry, from CR to KZ, doesn't make much sense to me.
Back in 2002 I was looking pretty heavy at their line because I initially thought they had what I wanted. What I found out was quite a shocker. They were in the habit of buying up leftover, out dated, unused material from different RV mfgs. and using what ever they could gather in the mfg. of their RVs. Can you imagine the nightmare a person could run into if you ever needed to replace something? Nobody would know what you had or where it came from. You would never be able to find a match if you needed, say, paneling or wallboard.
The one's my wife and I looked at were junk as far we were concerned.
So I hope for his sake things have changed for the better at KZ. If the RV industry falls on hard times again, he might find himself out picking s##t with chickens.

KZ as of today is one of the better brands out there with very good customer support. We have been researching new units and they are on the list because of the good things I have found about them. They are not the same KZ of 2002, JMHO.

That could very well be, they have come a long ways if that is the case. I sure hope so.

In all fairness, I feel I have to eat a little crow and edit my post.
We were looking at the very low end in the KZ line back in 02. "The Sportsman." At that time I didn't realize KZ had anything else. I have just done a little more looking and I can see they have a lot more to offer then that thing we looked at.
Sorry for any confusion or misleading statements.
