Dimming lights

I have a 2007 Crossroads Cruiser that is always connected to park electric supply. Recently, the lights dim at times, dim more than bright. Could this be related to old batteries? I think they are original, (2) 6 volt in series. I disconnected the park source and the batteries, metered them individually, and they both showed 5.6+ volts. Do I need to replace the batteries or is there an inverter issue? Also, where might the inverter be located?

The batteries are not original (OEM was a single 12v battery). The inverter is located with the CB panel. They are tied together but the inverter can be replaced separately. Not sure what is causing the dimming.

On mine it was a sign that the conveter was going bad. When it did die it took the battery with it

it is probably your converter. Ours went out last year and took the light above the sink and the battery with it. Check the voltage at the panel and it is probably surging.
