DVD Player

What is the secret to playing a DVD in the Jensen units? Could not get it to play and even had the manual out. my neighbor has the same unit in his TT and he could not get his to play a DVD either. Is there a secret combination of buttons that must be pushed?

Have you changed the input source on the TV? With my Jensen, I need the AV connection. I don't have HDMI outputs on my player.

Ours is the Jenson dvd stereo player and all we do is put the dvd in the tv, and it plays automatically. Have not tried ;putting dvd in side the player. Hope this helps.

Yes to some extent. I think I scrolled down to HDMI 1 and no change. I guess I should try every source and see if one will work. do you have to add any patch cords from TV to DVD player?

So the patch cords are required to view a DVD?

The cords would be required. The red, yellow, and white would each need to be plugged into the player and the TV in order to get video and audio on the TV. Alternatively, you could use just an HDMI cord instead of all three.

Thanks. I will get them out and plug them up. My owners manual never said a word about the patch cords. In fact, the first thing it says is 'Insert disc into DVD player. Better late than never. I knew this forum would have the answer...........

Your patch cords should be already there and connected. I would check behind the tv and the radio/DVD player and see if they are hooked up.

To add to Steve's comment, if that doesn't work than grab a phillips screwdriver and pull the head unit and check to make sure they are connected correctly on the back.

Had this issue on our new trailer this weekend. Started checking the wires and gave them a gentle pull come to find our they never hooked the AV cord up to the head unit...ill be pulling that apart this weekend. Good luck.
