Entry door latch / stop

Hello all,

Recently purchased a new to us 2016 zinger 21rd. Great unit but have an annoying issue with the front door stop which holds door open. It is made of plastic and if the least bit windy it flexes and releases the door. I have resorted to a bungee cord from the edge of the door to the frame of trailer..lol. Any other options? Was thinking getting a steel one to replace it. Thanks in advance, Jim

They may have screwed the part on the door too low ...thus allowing the long part to pop off.

Couple good options there. Yes, now that you mention it I think they mounted too low. Still I think I will look at metal option, I guess the risk of that is someone yanking on it and pulling the bracket off the trailer or door.
