Exhaust fan install

Hi, long time follower, first time post. I would like to put a power fan in bedroom vent. Where will get 12v power for fan? When I pulled vent trim, had heavier gauge white wire, white with purple and orange, a phone line and two very fine wires with connector. Looks to me like wiring for ac installation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 2010 cruiser 31REP

The surest way is to check the wires with a volt meter but it does sound like the wires could be for a a/c. Is the trailer 50 amp? (usually necessary for a second a/c) When I put my Fantastic fans in my 2003, I hooked to the light wire near the vent.

Volt meter is the answer, but that sounds like primary wire to me. My ACs are wired with 12/2 w/
ground romex.

Consider replacing the cheap fan in the bathroom.

I have a Fan-Tasic in my bathroom.

When I want ventilation in the bedroom or any other room I run the Fan-Tastic in exhaust mode then open a window in the room or location I want ventilation.

The 12 volt wiring is already in the bathroom vent.

Exhaust fan install

I was going to put a Fantastic in both bath and bedroom. Would that work or do I just need a bath fan?

I installed a fantastic fan in the bath vent as my rig came with the second ac in the bedroom. I love running the fan with the bedroom window open, but on my last rig I had the FF over the bed and would run it all night. Nothing like a cool evening breeze.

Exhaust Fan

We had our dealer install the ‘Fabulous ‘ fan in our bedroom. We love it. Only wish it had remote controls. I think it cost about $250 with installation.

I replaced the vent over my bed with a power fan. I pulled 12v from a nearby ceiling light. Once I got the original vent out, I could find the wires to tap into fairly easily.

You're not likely to find a wiring diagram for your, or any RV, so a meter will come in handy. In my 2015, I found some nearby wires running through the ceiling that had the required 12 volts. You want to make sure the aren't for a light that has a switch, so you have constant power.
I had a non-powered vent in a front bedroom, closed off by a wall. now why they wouldn't have put a powered vent in there is anybodies guess.
If the vent is over the bed, like ours, I highly recommend the remote controlled type, so you don't have to crawl onto the bed to operate it. I opted for the Maxxair, it had the features I wanted, like thermostat control.
