We are in the process of purchasing a 2012 Rushmore taking delivery this coming Saturday, May 7. Much of the time I tend to believe that most extended warranties are a big waste of money. Any thoughts and recommendations on this matter?

Crossroads has discontinued the Rushmore line, if it were me I would buy the extended warranty...Many of the forum members have extended warranties, I am sure they could help if you need advice with that...

I have the extended warranty with Easy Care. I've had to use it twice, while snowbirding in Florida. They were very easy to work with and will honor mobile RV repair services. Accounts were paid very quickly, within 2-3 days of receipt of repair orders.
I purchased one for our Rushmore....however, as my selling dealer is 4-hours away, I purchased one from a local dealer that sells Crossroads products. As they sell Crossroads products, they are an authorized dealer for repairs. It also pays to shop around as well.....

I wouldn't be without an extended warranty. New door on order for our Norcold fridge right now. Hate to even think what it costs. Awning motor previously.
I bought the warranty for my rig. I generally never buy extended warranties - but these trailers have a lot of hidden "surprises" that could cost you big bucks at the worst possible time. I used mine several times, including getting my Faded Cap repaired (that was a 1300 dollar gem right there!) Like the Nike add says - "Just Do It"!!!!

Well I was ask about the extended warranty 6 year plan. I was going to get it but I ask if I paid the unit off early in 3 years (which is my plan) if the warranty continues. They said no that if I paid the unit off in 3 years the warranty stops then. So I decided to just go with the two year plan and hopefully all the bugs will be worked out by then.

Xtra-Ride for me. Just used it today! Pulled the camper out of winter storage and after lubricating all the seals, I moved on to the water system. City connection...no problem. Tank system...water pump is dead. It ran for about five minutes. Called the dealer. Only costing me $25 for a home visit! Everything covered on warranty.
Without the extended warranty, I was looking at well over $300.
That is not true with my warranty. In fact, it sounds ridiculous. I buy a new RV for cash and cannot get an extended warranty?? Never heard of any warranty stopping when the RV or car for that matter, is paid off. What brand of warranty are they trying to sell you?? You can also buy warranties without going through your dealer.
