External black tank rinse system

T started posting here but I haven't actually taken delivery of my ZT301BH TT. It will be here around the first week of April. Anyway, when I ordered it I was told by CW that there was no option for a factory installed "external black tank rinse system." That seems kind of strange to me as just about every other manufacturer does offer it. So is that true or does CW not know it's available. If it truly is unavailable what do you do about it. Sorry to those that do but I'm not going to do the wand thing from inside the TT. I know that Camco makes the Tornado after market unit but It can't be mounted in the TT side wall like a factory install. I have one installed on my current TT but the outlet is under the trailer box mounted to the frame. I have a back disability so using it is very hard. I need something mounted in the sidewall so I don't have to bend down under the TT to use it.

I have a 2014 Elevation and it does have an external black tank rinse system, so Crossroads does install them. Maybe they are not available for your model for some strange reason ????

This is what Crossroads uses. You can buy it and install yourself, or have your dealer put it in.

Seems Camping World is a little in the dark. I called them after seeing the above posts and they are calling the regional CrossRoads sales rep for "clarification."

Camping world is a lot in the dark, of course the generic brochures Crossroads provides are no help either.

Evidently the Black Tank External Flush System is not available on the Z-1

There must be a reason it is not available. Makes me wonder if a third party flush system can be installed. So does anyone out there own the ZT301BH? If so what do you do about flushing your black tank. I'm not going to run a hose through the entry door, through the kitchen and into the bathroom. I don't want to cancel the order either.

My other 2 campers never had one . I just used to fill up a 5 gal water jug at the campsite and put it in the bathroom just before I went to dump. As the tank was dumping ,I would go in and pour down the toilet. Or have partner dump it in if there was anyone behind me. seemed to work fine. Alot of dump sites I have been to do not have a hose attachment on their hoses anyways.
It is only a holding tank and will be dumped in a few days anyways.

My current TT has the Camco Tornado flush system. It's amazing how much stuff comes out after a full tank dump.

You could also tie into your water line and run up to a shower line by the toilet with a shutoff valve. You could then attach the spiral wand to it

I just got off the phone with the plant manager. He confirmed that they can't put a black tank flush system in the Z-1 as a custom add on but said there is no reason design wise, or structurally, that a third party flush system can't be installed. That's good news! Thanks everyone for your responses.

Guess it is another cost cutting idea.

I guess that's why they are entry level Rv's.

Black Tank Shaped

We purchased a Tornado and last fall I dropped the under-belly to install the new flush system. I was surprised by the shape of the Black Tank with its bottom sloped to the flush gate. I saw no reason to install the Tornado although I do like their idea of a check valve at the tank.

You would be surprised of how much sticks to the tank. It's the only way to thoroughly clean your tank. Would not be without one. Along with the GEO Method,it does a great job.

I use the GEO method in all three of my tanks...I also leave some of the GEO chemicals with a gal. of water when the camper is parked in between trips...If something is stuck to the inside of the tank it is more likely to get dislodged if there is moisture in the tank as opposed to if the tank is dry inside...
