When I run my fan-ta-stic fan it seems to only want to close. I got up on the roof and check out the sensor and it's dry. Just to make extra sure I shut it off and manually opened the cover for a few hours in the sun. Still only wants to close when I turn it back on. Any ideas or is it a trip back to the dealer? _popupControl();

Mine works fine, but I did have trouble making my self set the thermostat low enough for it to open to start with.I always put it to about 80 and it was already cooler than that in the camper and it closed.

Did you adjust the temperature gauge?

As Ken said call Fantastic Fan before taking it back to the dealer. They have great customer service and may get you fixed up over the phone.

Did some searching this morning, and I'm just wondering if it wasn't warm enough in 5er. It was only in the upper 60's when I was playing around with it and from what I read it needs to be warmer than 60 degrees for it trip on /open.

I'll try again once we get to the campground this weekend for our first of the year.

Thanks guys for input.

I had trouble with ours couple years ago. Called Fantastic and was advised to clean the senser on roof with rubbing alcahol. Did that and has worked fine since. You can unplug it and remove with one or two screws. Turn unit off first.

Everybody "thanks" for the input. I tried again last night and it worked. I'm kinda thinking that it was a combination of not being warm enough and not waiting waiting long enough for thermostat to trip the fan on. Seems that it takes about 30 sec from the time I adjust the thermostat to get the fan on.

"Thanks again" and happy camping to all
