flea markrts?

just purchased new slingshot gt27rb in july. have only camped in yard so far, but plan to do the flea market thing in 2 wk. winnie, tx has a big one. we live in sw La. evidently few RVers do flea mkts. there is also a big one at Arcadia,La (Bonnie & Clyde) once mo. my wife loves to n/do these things (antiques, porcelain). there are a few Towns in n Al & Tn that have trade days once mo. people come from all around to buy, sell and trade anything and everything on the sidewalks. (coon dogs, pigs, chickens, produce ,plow shares) does anyone have knowledge of such places? of course this is not the best time with school & winter coming on, but we might get in a couple this year.

This one is suppose to be really a good one in East Texas (don't know how far it would be from you in La.). We have not been yet but I have talked to people that have been and you have to make reservations a couple of months in advance at any of the RV parks in that area when this is going on.

First Monday in Canton is by far the largest in Texas and in the top five US. Mill Creek Ranch CG is a great place to stay, they even have a free shuttle to the flea market. Only problem is they are booked up months in advance. Last time we had to reserve in September for a site in March. Another nice flea market is in Wimberly, TX not far from San Marcos. They claim to be the second largest in Texas. Open on the first Saturday of the month from March thru December. Not sure about CG in Wemberly, we stayed at Pecan Park in San Marcos; real nice CG and you can also hit the outlet malls nearby.

Do a search for Traders Village in Grand Prairie, Tx. Open every Sat-Sun. They have an RV park on site and it's nice. Walk 100yds and you are in the flea market. They also have one in San Antonio but I've never been there..

There is also a Traders Village in Houston with a CG, we spent a weekend there a couple of years ago, not bad but probably would not go back. Mostly clothes and jewely stuff, nothing interesting like a country flea market.
