Freezing Pipes?

I have a CF305SKP with the polortec insulation. We need to get back to Michigan by the 23rd of Msrch. The temperatures up there are going to be very cold. If we leave the heat on what kind of temperatures can we tolerate without having to worry about bursting pipes?

Thanks,

Gary

Anything below 20 for more than a few hours. You need to run your furnace and not just rely on electric heat. Have a heated water hose or unhook your hose at night or fill your fresh water tank. I have had parts of my plumbing freeze with no problems as pex is very durable. I just tried to get things thawed as fast as possible.

water pipes

we have survived 5 degree for a few hours in the Kingston with polertec. Thermostat on 65 If you have full hookups get a heated waterhose and let the water run a little. leave gray tank valve open.

Fresh water lines froze at +2F. Heat tpaed city water never froze even at -4F.As long as you have warm days above freezing you should be fine.
Happy trails.
