Fresh water fill

I own a Lincoln Rushmore and am winter camping. My fresh water tank will not accept water. Its my inderstanding that my tanks are insulated and heated radiantly thru my furnace ducts. However, its -1 celcius and i have no water. The pump appears to be working but i have shut it off so i don't burn it out.

Where are you adding water? If your fresh tank is empty it will fill (shove hose in big hole after unscrewing large cap). If you are hooked to city water connection (screw onto hose directly), you are direct for water and don't need to pump it - it runs off pressure from turned on hose. Not being facetious, we've just had a few people mix those two up.

Thanks but where I am, the water is off for the season so i have it trucked in. I was successfully using the pump from my fresh water tank but i think it froze which is odd cause the heated underbelly is supposed to prevent that.

If you are using an electric heater instead of the furnace which a lot of us do, your tank or piping to the pump could be froze. Your furnace must be running to heat the tank area. Is your pump located behind a panel you can remove to get room temps to that area?

I think a more appropriate question here might be, "where are you camping?" If they have the water turned off that must mean there is a chance the water will freeze underground. Where I am in WI today is the first day we've been above 32 degree Fahrenheit in well over a week. In all honesty if you are somewhere where the temps don't get below freezing or only go below freezing for a few hours the water in your tanks shouldn't freeze, but water in the lines may freeze. I would think if it is cold where you are perhaps you should turn the heat up slightly so it runs for a long enough time to allow some heat to build up in the basement area, perhaps then it will thaw it out if it is indeed frozen.
