Dealer probably forgot to put the plastic cap back on when they drained the tank.

The dealer put the cap to mine in with the plug for the hot water heater. Might check there as all it is is a small screw on cap.

this sounds like your low point drain isn't completely closed. ours had a cap but I think some are just a twist valve.

My new 31BH came with a cheap cap. I suggest installing a valve inexpensive and worth it.

Its a 1/2" pipe with male threads underneath possibly smaller. Buy a PVC ball valve at the hardware store with a female threaded end or adapt it to have a female end. And then just thread it on.

Jerry --- Where is the water running out? Back by the fresh water tank or by the basement? My low point drains are located in the basement.

The oxygentics is great. DW and I love it. I also bought a adjustable water presure valve. The plumbing in your house is set at 50. The pottable water in the camper is PEX, so I am thinking it should be good running the presure in the camper at 50 lbs. also. If any plumbers out there disagree with that, lets hear from you.

SleepyT---50 psi should be good, I believe the pre-set (non-adjustable) ones are set at 35/40 psi, which can be a little low. Sometimes it's not the pressure that makes the spigot notwork right sometimes it's the volume of water that makes the showerhead aggrvating. The oxygentics work well and use less volume of water, thereforekind of hiding the true problem. Butwho cares what the problem was as long as it works better. I wouldn't set pressure over 55 psi ever---if you don't have enough water at 50 psi
the pressure is not the problem.Much higher than that and you may blow a fitting clean off, then you would really be in trouble.

Bob -- Thanks for the reply. I have worked on CPVC for a long time, but not PEX. Logic tells me if they run PEX in a house and set the presure at 50PSI, it should be good to run it at 50 PSI in a camper. Good to hear it from someone else.

My dealer did the same thing. He took the cap off and drained the fresh water, then put the cap with the water heater.
