I believe 35 to no more than 40 is what most recommend. Is your fridge on the sunny side. If so, try putting your awning out. If that doesn't work may need more ventilation?

These fridges used to be installed real quick and very little attention to manuf specs as to proper installation. I replaced mine a few months ago and followed all specs for installation. Works MUCH better, even in high outside temps. Not sure if the new models of RV's have gotten better. Read your installation manual and compare the instructions to your rig. Tim is correct, you should be able to get 35 easy in the fridge section.

How old is your unit?
There has been issues with the thermister also. You can adjust the temp a little by sliding that up or down on the fin it's mounted on. They do go bad. Mine did.

If I remember right, they only claim about a 30 to 40 degree difference in temp between the fridge and freezer.

I can see the idea behind them, but boy o boy, they ain't bashful on the price.

Why wouldn't a plain old fridge fan for less then $15 do the same thing?

Soon after I bought ours and several failed attempts to fix by the dealer I went by the domestic specs on installation and added a thermistor adjuster by dinosaur. It hooks into the panel on bottom of fridge from the outside and bypasses the thermistor and has a dial adjuster. Set it to where I wanted it and never touch it. Inexpensive I think only $40. shipped to Canada.

Wow Lloyd you are right, if you read the article from Trailer Life it notes the price's at 69.50 to 109.00 i got mine as a gift from my parents they paid around 70.00, it is nice as it has a on, off switch, 2 powerful fans and built in LED lights, and I don't have to carry a supply of "D" Batteries, but at the new prices they may be pricing their selves out of business.
