Pretty severe storm here last night; lots of wind, rain, lightning, and golf ball + sized hail.

Some damage to house, but unfortunately to the Z-1 as well. The hail shattered both sky-light vents and multiple dings on rear of unit. (actually was lucky with the way it was parked... hail only dinged rear end of camper?)

My question is, how durable is the roof? I climbed on top to find the busted vent covers, but no visible damage to ac shroud, shower sky light, or fridge vent. However, I wonder about the rubber roof over all. There doesn't even appear to be dings or marks on the actual roof.

Clearly, I have an insurance adjuster scheduled to come out for house as well as trailer, but just would be curious as to other folks experiences with hail/storm damage.

Any comments appreciated.</td></tr><tr ="msgableRow" style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: rgb0, 0, 0; font-weight: normal; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.4; : rgb251, 251, 253; "><td ="msgLineDevider" style="border-top-style: solid; border-right-style: solid; border-bottom-style: solid; border-left-style: solid; border-top-color: rgb225, 227, 236; border-right-color: rgb225, 227, 236; border-bottom-color: rgb225, 227, 236; border-left-color: rgb225, 227, 236; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-top-width: 1px; "><div ="msgSignature" style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: rgb0, 0, 0; font-weight: normal; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.4; max-height: 160px; width: 809px; : left; overflow-x: auto; overflow-y: auto; ">2013 Z-1 301BH

Same thing with the A/C cover, it is pretty flexible. What about the actual A/C cooling fins?? Are they damaged?? The skylight is pretty tough and due to it's shape probably deflected the hail stones rather than absorbing their impact. Check all the painted aluminum trim, you may have paint pits. Also the rear bumper, may need repainting.</td></tr><tr ="msgOddTableRow" style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: rgb0, 0, 0; font-weight: normal; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.4; : rgb251, 251, 253; "><td ="msgLineDevider" style="border-top-style: solid; border-right-style: solid; border-bottom-style: solid; border-left-style: solid; border-top-color: rgb225, 227, 236; border-right-color: rgb225, 227, 236; border-bottom-color: rgb225, 227, 236; border-left-color: rgb225, 227, 236; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-top-width: 1px; "><div ="msgSignature" style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: rgb0, 0, 0; font-weight: normal; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.4; max-height: 160px; width: 809px; : left; overflow-x: auto; overflow-y: auto; ">Larry Day

In order to avoid issues down the road the adjuster authorized replacement of our home and RV roof. The house looked bad but the RV looked good on the surface.

I have a rubber roof on my commercial property that is held down with large rock as "ballast" Because of the rock my roof was OK. The adjuster said all the rubber only roofs in the area would need to be replaced as they can not handle the impact and again,,,,will fail soon after.

Just my 2 cents from what happened personally.

When you speak to your adjuster, ask that the roof be replaced.

Good luck
