Hey all!!

Tonight is out first night out since September. Of course it is about mid-30's here in East Texas. Anyways, turned on the heater, not the warmest air but more importantly after about 3 minutes of it being on, the smoke detector starts beeping. Unless we wave a towel near it, it doesn't stop. Any idea what is going on?

Not sure what your problem is if any but I can tell you even mine is so sensitive that I have to take the battery out just to take a shower.

Have you run the furnace previous to this trip? If not, it might be just the fumes from burning off the "newness".

On both our units there was a lot of oil in the furnace from the manufacturing and it had to burn off once it did all was ok. Some times after being in a dust climate for long periods it will burn of the dust setting it off.

Our new tt was the same. Disconnected smoke alarm, and ran furnace several times for about an hour with windows open at home. Took a long time to get the smell out. Our previous 3 new trailers with Suburban furnaces were fine. This one has an Atwood.
