Have you tried to lube the shaft on pullout and wiggle it? Don't know but we lube the shafts several times per year so this won't happen.

We just replaced the blackwater valve and cable on our Cruiserfor the exact same reason. Pulled out, wouldn't even think of going back in, cable wouldn't even wiggle. Got a new valve and cable from amazon for I think 56 bucks and changed it at home. Make sure that the original flanges don't have any flashing on it if you do it yourself, I think that's what took ours out. Was bound up and hard to open and close to begin with. Now much better.

Good luck!!

If you are set up camping and need a quick fix and can't get the main valve closed any other way, they make a valve with the bayonet fitting that will twist right on the sewer outlet. I doubt Wal Mart has them, but if there is an RV dealer or Camping World nearby, they would.

I have had the same problem. And a leak because the knife valve had been over tightned. For some reason where the cable is attached to the valve is on the far side of the valve, putting a sharp bend in the cable and making it very stiff.

This time when back at the dealer for repair. The dealer and I decided to rotate the valve 180 degrees and install a rod instead of a cable. they drilled a small hole thru the frame for the rod to go thru. It comes out right below the door where the cable handles are, you cant even see it without leaning down.

I dont know about your unit but the grey water cables are much more easy to pull as they dont have a severe bend. All I had to pay for were the extra plumbing fittings.

The twist on valve mentioned earlier is made by Valtera. The part number is T58 and it's $25. I bought one of these because my black tank valve kept leaking into the tube giving me a nice surprise every time I remove the cap to empty my tanks. I've had it for 3 years and it works perfect.
