Help please.

Purchased a new Sunset Trail 210fk on Monday 4/16/18
I need the extreme weather package . It's not on paper work.
Nor is there a sticker decal on the left side of door above the 3 year warranty sticker.
But sales crew said oh yeah its extreme weather package.
I took pictures , and there isn't one anyplace.
Plus I found problems after 1 day of having it.
Bathroom door has a tear it, top left corner , I asked for a new door , they said NO.
We'll glue it. Better not be shoddy work.
The face plate for the slide was half tacked in. They said it comes off to access pully motor. I said it shouldn't be loose.
You couldn't see it unless you were sitting at the table on the left side and looked up.
Mattress is a brick wall. It has to go.
Key would not fit in exterior rear kitchen. A lot of glitches going on.
I took the trailer back. Better not be there too long. Any opinions you guys ? Really getting an uneasy feeling.

Does it have electric tank heaters, there would be a switch for it on your control panel. Their weather package is called Polar tech I believe. If it has these then yes it has the cold weather package. As for the fits and finishes - every brand has them, it's no different when you buy a new house and ask the builder to come back in and touch up some defects. It's something we all go through.

Unhappy My please help questions

Did these guys try to pull a fast one over on me ?

I see on other models the extreme weather package decal is stuck to left side of door. I have pictures , and it's not there. I am going back in the morning , and if a decal has been put there. I have pictures to prove they added it.

Yes , I can understand cosmetic issues pop up. But on day 1.

Everything else seems OK , so far.

They were working on the cosmetic issues today. Have to get a new lock for exterior kitchen. Better not take long.

My please help questions

Yes , it is suppose to have that Jeff. So they said. I just want to make sure it's not a lemon.

Why does this model have to be skirted when it's sitting in the yard.
Pain in the butt to unskirt it when you want to take it out.

Honestly, regardless if they call it "extreme package" "polar" "4 seasons" "Artic" they're not insulated like your home & were not built for "extreme" cold weather, so there are precautions you must take. You need to run the furnace along with electric heaters, as most rvs have at least 1 furnace duct into the enclosed underbelly to warm tanks & plumbing. Most likely in that model the fresh water tank is under the bed or at least inside so should be fairly safe. You'll need a heated water hose or at least heat tape & foam insulation on it as well as the faucet, in "extreme" cold fill fresh tank & disconnect hose. Disconnect sewer hose in "extreme" cold & only use when necessary.
No skirting is necessary & unless it was very well insulated wouldn't help enough to go to the trouble.
Others will probably chime in on things I've missed, but just realize it's not a house.

Polar tec gets you upgraded insulation in the floors, walls and ceilings.
Research the net.
Crossroads RVs | 2011 Crossroads Seville VF36SB
It's an overall combination of options that make it more suitable for cold weather use than the average RV - like windows, tank heaters, large furnace

My please help questions

The camp trailer will not be in sub zero Temps . So I should be fine for that situation. But I will take all the precautions mentioned.
Thankyou.

Tried to get the TV to turn on. It wouldnt. Salesman said it has to have power to it. Well if your out in the woods camping , and you have no power , the TV won't function. It won't work. Is this an accurate question/ answer ?

My friend has a 2018 T@b @Trailer. And her TV turns on without power source coming into her trailer. Feeding off of battery ?

I am getting more confused.

I apologies for all my foolish newbie questions you guys.
All help is appreciated.

If you don't have a TV that runs on DC/battery, then yes, your trailer has to be plugged into the power pole.
Don't feel bad about asking questions. Everybody on this forum has been a newbie at one time. It's just that some of them tend to forget that.

You might want to call Crossroads and give your camper's serial number to find out if your camper has the Polar package...I think that would be the best way to find out...I don't know if I would trust the dealer at this point...Thit web site might have some information about your dealer, bad or good...

Good idea SleepyT. I would be a little nervous about them saying it is but seeing no sticker evidence. Usually they brag about the polar package.

Without being able to personally crawl all over it and see how insulated it looks, its hard to say.

Glenda, dumb questions are good. Sometimes things that seem obvious may not be. And some people here may be afraid to ask. Re your TV, thats a great "dumb" question. You would need to know if you have a 12V tv. If yes, then it SHOULD run off the batteries. From the factory I would guess no and no. This seems to be a common misconception on what the manufacturers provide you. Thats based on my non-pro knowledge of RV electrical systems. If no, you need shore power or a generator.

When I purchased my camper, the battery wasn't even strong enough to let me run the propane heater 1 night on the way home from purchasing. I woke up freezing my rear off after 5 hours.

Sunrise Rv, Omak , Washington.
Dealership.

Is where I purchased it on 4/13/18.
Picked it up 4/16/18. Took it back 4/18/18

I stopped by on Friday the 4/20/18 , With Questions ,
I Wanted to see my Trailer , They REFUSED to take me to
See it , it was down the street at their repair lot.
Not visable from the main road.

I Am starting to wonder if they lied to me about fixing the
Cosmetic damages inside. I feel like I am being stalled.
I can't See my trailer . Something is wrong with that.
All they keep saying is 》 We will call you when it's Ready

Those 2 posts were about Crossroads manufacturing .
I tried to call them about my serial number, and Vin number.
They closed 2 minutes before I called.

Not about Sunrise Rv in Omak, Wash.

Glenda, don't take this the wrong way, but when you picked up your rv, did you do a PDI? Most of the issues you talked about could have been addressed then and noted on your delivery invoice.
There is a good PDI in our Document section of the forum,
CrossRoads RV Family Forum - Library - Tom Boles Pre-Delivery Inspection List

As far as the Weather pkg, it is listed on their website as a standard for your rv,
Quote:
Enjoy camping with the "All Inclusive" features built in every Super Lite: 6 Sided Aluminum Construction, Tri-Fold Sofas, Glass Top Range, 60" x 80" Residential Bed, Solid Surface Kitchen Countertops, LED Interior Lights, Extreme Weather Package, Radius Rafter and a Fiberglass Front Cap. Not only is there a multitude of high-end included features, Sunset Trail also comes with many upgrade options such as a second air conditioner, free-standing dining room table and many more! One unique feature is the barreled ceiling. This gives the interior a more spacious feel, helping the Super Lite feel more like home.
As far a question, feel free to ask anything. Look in our Document section for some other good info and rv's and camping.

Good luck with all your issues and Happy Camping.

I was told by the 2 salesmen , The unit would be prepped and cleaned for my delivery pick up.
They didn't do anything to it that I could tell. It wasn't till I got it to my place for storage at a friends house that I noticed the 2 interior flaws.
And I only noticed them while sitting at the kitchen table,
Everything in the inside was OK , minus glue stuck on counter top in kitchen. Floor not swept. No big deal.

I TRUSTED these guys that everything was ok .
MY FOOLISH Mistake. They did NOT do any kind of a check off list for me to sign off on.
They basically rushed me out the door. It wasnt till I got it to my friends house , the following day the key would not fit in the exterior kitchen lock.

So I took it back and showed them the 3 problems
They said 》 minor problems , easy to fix.
And actually they would be , in my opinion.

I am going to call Crossroads Monday morning and give them my serial number , Vin number , and anything else they need to Reassure me it has the extreme weather package. Nothing on unit to Prove that.
Other then the 2 guys saying , it's there don't worry Glenda

They sent me home with a bumper pull junk hitch. I told them that's dangerous . Luckily I could handle it. They said you'll be fine.
Went back for heavy load hitch and sway bars. So that went fine.
They didn't put my temp license plate in window. Glad the state patrol didn't stop me. I called them , they said oops sorry.
They said just have the cops call us and we'll explain the error.

I had to have a friend stop there and bring it to me. Thankfully I had it in the window when I returned it.

I love the trailer. Just bummed about minor cosmetic flaws inside.
And the key wouldn't open exterior kitchen lock.

Other then that 》 No complaints. (Yet)

There never perfect when you get them, but I think we make them that way after we all get them. Your unit is standard equipment with closed and heated underbelly, in your model's features under the exterior options. 3rd from the bottom left it's listed; Features for Sunset Trail Super Lite by Crossroads RV
