Hot water heater not working on electric NEW Rig
We took our brand new 2015 Zinger 30RK out for the first time and we could not get the water to heat on electric. We checked bypass lines, all fine. The water heats just fine on the gas. This is our first gas/electric water heater. Is there something we are supposed to do besides flip the switch? Any help would be appreciated. We have the worst camping world in the country at our disposal and I would like to not have to involve them if there is a step we are missing.
Thanks,

If you can pull the switch to check that the wire is connected properly. This happened to my bed slide switch. Took if out reinstalled the wire to the switch and it been working.

Since this is the first time in use, check the breaker panel to ensure the CB is in the proper position. This of course assumes you were plugged into shore power.

We have a switch for selecting the fireplace or hot water heater. Only one can be used at a time. That's if you have a fireplace. Our switch is a regular house looking three way switch, labeled fireplace/hot water.

If you have a electric fireplace there will be a switch to select fireplace or water heater. You cannot run both on electric. Select water heater. Then there will be two other switches for the water heater. One will be electric and the other will be gas. These can be run at the same time for high demand/recovery time. Make sure fireplace/water heater switch is set to water heater and switch water heater to electric only and see if that works. If not, pull control panel off and make sure switch is wired. Not uncommon for them to be loose or to have come loose or never installed correctly in the first place.

We're 30 amps too. On our first trip with the trailer the water heater would only work on gas, there was a loose wire nut behind the water heater. Another place to investigate.

No fireplace. I will check the connections tonight. We were plugged into shore power at the time. Thanks for all the advice, let you know what I find.
