How far does the power tongue jack extend?

At our current, relatively level site, our tongue is level at 22 inches.

Our tongue jack only extends about 12 inches before it start "chunking" (make noise). So we added 10 inches of shoring to get it level.

Is 12 inches as far as these power tongue jacks supposed to extend?

I've seen some with an 18' stroke. It might depend on the model.

The LCI tongue jack on our 2017 Sunset Trail 250RB has a decal on it stating it has an 18" travel and 3500 lb limit.

Didn't realize there was a label on the tongue that gave the info I needed. It's pretty much hidden behind the power tongue motor.

Anyway, that labels says 3500 pound max tongue weight and an 18 inch stroke.

Mine is stroked out at 12 inches before it starts a clunking noise.

A bad label or am I doing something wrong?
