How to keep mini-blinds adjusting rods attached

So...one minor annoyance I am having since I have acquired my new me 211RD is the mini-blinds. The rods that attach via a small hook to adjust the blinds (open/close) keep coming off while bouncing down the road. Pain to keep having to find and reattach them after each time out. Was thinking of taking hot glue gun to them to bridge the gap to keep them on. Don't think I can bend the hook that holds them. Wondering if anyone else has an idea. Yeah, in the grand scheme of things pretty minor. Give me time, I will come up with some major things. LOL. Regards......Jim

Wrap a rubber band around the top of the rod, just below the mounting hole. Hook the rod to the mechanism normally. Push up on the rubber band threads so a few go up and over the hook. If you need to remove, and they get snagged, they are easy to cut.

I slide the rod through one of the slats of the bind and it holds it tight. You just have to remember to do it before leaving. You get punished when you forget having to crawl around the floor looking for the rod!

I tried the rubber band thing, but the sun dries them out and then you find them and the rod somewhere on the floor.
Get little spring loaded metal clamps at Northern. They are about 1” and look like a mini version of a mig ground clamp. The ones I bought had a yellow rubber coating on them.

This is so you dont have to crawl around looking for the rods at every destination. Detach when you arrive.
